Hinckley LRFC return home for the second time this week as they prepare to welcome Rugby Town.

Looking to bounce with a win following Tuesday’s nights 3-0 defeat to Anstey Nomads, Neil Lyne’s side now face a different test as they welcome a Rugby side fighting for survival in the division.

Rugby make the short journey down the A5 just two points above the drop zone in 18th place, whilst also having played a game more than 19th place Gresley Rovers.

They’re looking to end a run of three consecutive defeats having conceded 13 goals in that period whilst also looking to pick up their first win in four games since a 2-1 win over Cambridge City at home.

Hinckley on the other hand are looking to improve on recent form having picked up only seven points in their past six games.

They do however hold a four point gap in the final play off position over sixth place Quorn despite playing a game more and look to end the season in the playoffs and secure the highest finish in the clubs history.

Hinckley will be looking to do the league double over Rugby, whilst the latter will be looking to avoid another embarrassment at the hands of the Knitters following Hinckley’s 4-1 win back in December.

A Tendai Daire hat-trick and an Aaron Nuttall goal sealed the three points on that day and despite no longer having Daire at the club, Neil Lyne will be hopeful his side can produce another result like that on Saturday.
