Youth team graduate Jarred Acton played in our first match against Hampton on 23rd August 2014 and completed the rest of the season before going off to Sheffield University to study a degree in Sports Science.

This lead to Jarred missing the next two seasons with us before resuming his playing career back with Neil and his squad whilst completing his final year at Sheffield.

After graduating from Sheffield University with a first Class Honours Degree, Jarrod started a PhD in Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University and wrote a thesis on his chosen subject.

On Thursday Jarred was assessed by two Professors on his Research Work and Thesis and came through the assessment with flying colours to complete his Doctorate and now can be formerly known as Dr Jarred Acton PhD.

All at Hinckley Leicester Road would like to congratulate Jarred on this tremendous achievement and wish him all the best as he takes on his new accreditation and role as a Subject Matter Expert Researcher in Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University.
