
Alan was no strange to sport in Hinckley having started his football association as Assistant Physio to Paul Miller at Hinckley Town in the late 1980's.
Alan was also a well respected cricketer who played and then coached at Hinckley Town Cricket Club until its recent demise. Alan continued to play cricket and regularly featured for the over 70's until his ailment curtailed that.
Alan Cook was a founder member of Leicester Road Football Club assisting Carl Daborn in the physio department staying actively involved in all player rehabilitation and treatments upto and during on brief stay in the United Counties League before being promoted the Northern Premier League.
Alan was admitted to a hospice to see out remaining time with us and through Neil Lyne, Ken Hughes and Carl Daborn the club stayed in touch until the very end.
