After a week off due to Storm Darragh Hinckley Leicester Road return to action this weekend with a trip to Coleshill Town in the Northern Premier League Midlands division.
The Knitters come into the game 18th in the table, just 1 place and 3 points above Rugby Town who occupy the final relegation spot, knowing that victory can close the gap on their opponents to 2 points and begin to put daylight between themselves amd the bottom 3.
Hinckley are 8th in the form table but come into the game on the back of a defeat a fortnight ago but had started to show glimpses of last season in the prior weeks having acquired 10 points In the previous 5 games taking themselves out of the relegation places and beginning to put daylight between themselves and the bottom 3.
Coleshill come into the game on a 3 match unbeaten run in the league which include an emphatic 4-0 victory at home to Corby before a 95th minute winner at home to Boldemere St Michaels a fortnight ago. Coleshill are currently 14th, 4 places and 5 points ahead of The Knitters as we head into the festive period.
The 2 sides played out a 0-0 draw at Leicester Road back at the beginning of October however this fixture last season provided 8 goals, Hinckley coming from 2 goals down to win 5-3 thanks to goals from Dom Brennan and 4 from winger Aaron Nuttall.
