It has been brought to our attention that a number of entities have made strong references to ground sharing at our Leicester Road Stadium on various social media channels.

Whilst there has been some dialogue on the subject with third parties, there is no offer on the table or any agreement in place.

Hinckley Leicester Road Football Club are the sole occupiers of Leicester Road Stadium and have carried out a public consultation to create a long term development plan which is currently being delivered.

Part of this plan involves implementing new measures to preserve our grass pitches which are currently maintained to host 40 - 50 senior home games a season. Our desire is to actually reduce that number of games on the stadium pitch, not increase it!

Therefore any introduction of another club to share the stadium pitch would drastically increase the number of games being played on it and the maintenance cost to support another 20 - 30 games would simply not be cost effective as well as become extremely detrimental to our current grass management programme.

To summarise, any club that believes ground sharing at our Leicester Road stadium could be an option would need to be able to cover the cost in the maintenance uplift in addition to the stadium hire fee as well as accept that any agreement would be conditional on accepting that their fixtures would rank secondary to ALL Hinckley Leicester Road Football Club fixtures.
