After two defeats from the opening two league games, Neil Lyne’s side enter the FA Cup with an opportunity to build confidence and momentum whilst also securing themselves a spot in the next round.

Hinckley are looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat on Tuesday night when a 91st minute goal sealed a 2-1 defeat away to Shepshed Dynamo.

They travel to Step Five side Heanor Town who have already got one win under their belt in this seasons competition.

A fortnight ago they travelled to fellow Step Five outfit Uttoxeter Town, securing a 3-2 win and seating up the tie against Hinckley.

Saturdays hosts apply their trade in the United Counties Football League Premier Division North, and following their opening three league games, in which they’ve won two and lost one, they currently sit 11th in the league table.

After receiving a bye into the Preliminary Round through having one of the best points per game ratio at Step Four last season, Neil Lyne will be hoping his side can go on step further this season having excited the cup in this round last year following a 2-1 loss away to Cleethorpes Town.

With another league game on the horizon on Tuesday night at home against Walsall Wood, Hinckley will need to defeat Heanor in 90 minutes in order to avoid playing a replay on the same date.
