The first fixture of the new year saw Burntwood travel to the Leicester Road Stadium to take on Simon Marriot's HLRFC Under 15 side.
The tricky conditions and unpleasant weather could have been a recipe for a scrappy game but the tie was anything but.
Hinckley started off brightly and after playing some great football were soon one goal to the good with a second following soon afterwards.
The second half did not bring an improvement in conditions and an early corner for the visitors resulted in them halving the deficit.
Hinckley continued to play with quality despite the deteriorating conditions. The clever football in tight areas and standard of play out from the back on an increasingly tricky surface providing great entertainment.
The boys continued to outplay the opposition and make chances with two further goals rewarding their efforts.
