King hits 5 as the Development side make it 10 league wins from 10...

Josh King scores 5 to maintain Hinckley LRFC perfect record in 6-1 win.

Hinckley LRFC made 3 changes from the previous week with Callum Buswell coming in for Ben Martin, Harry Smith coming in for Sam Carroll and Harvey Heggs for Captain Scott Worrad.

Loughborough had proved to be difficult opposition just 3 weeks ago however it was a much more dominant performance from Hinckley who went ahead after just 6 minutes. Isiah Dugba down the right hand side, beat 2 players before cutting back a ball which Josh King stepped over for Harry Smith to finish first time.

On 15 minutes, Brogan Greenwood was played through on goal however the Loughborough keeper saved with his feet. Good work minutes later set Jack Warner free however the keeper saved well with his feet once again.

On 23 minutes, good work down the left hand side from Harry Smith left him one on one on the angle, Smith drew the keeper out and pulled the ball back to Jack Warner who was about to tap home however it appeared Warner was brought down from behind however the referee deemed the defender had played the ball and signalled a corner kick. On 28 minutes, Bruno Nascimento and Greenwood set up Simon Humphrey's however he just couldn't get his shot off when well placed 10 yards out.

Hinckley were continuing to apply pressure and it was on the stroke of half time they extended their lead. Greenwood cutting back in on his right foot from a left hand side position, crossed for King who needed two attempts to put the ball away from 6 yards, his first shot hitting the keeper before coming back to him, the second time he made no mistake.

Loughborough started the second half well without really threatening. Slightly against the run of play, Hinckley made it 3-0. On 55 minutes, more good work from Dugba set Smith free on right hand side of the box, a neat stepover gave him an opportunity to cross and there was King to hammer home from 8 yards out. On 65 minutes, King completed his hat-trick. A poor pass back clearance from the Loughborough keeper fell to King from 12 yards out and he duly converted.

Max Geary entered the fray to give Hinckley fresh impetus and just 2 minutes later it was 5-0 from an electric counter-attack. Loughborough had a corner on the Hinckley right which was half cleared to Nascimento who payed forward quickly to King who was left one v one with a Loughborough defender who he out-paced before dinking the ball into the far corner for his 4th goal of the day.

Further good chances went begging, Dugba was played through twice in quick succession but on both occasions, the keeper saved well. On 70 minutes, Callum Franks and Josh Sands were introduced for Warner & Humphreys who both had been in the wars to give Hinckley some fresh legs in the middle of the park however it was Loughborough who pulled a goal back against the run of play. The Loughborough left winger given all the time in the world was able to get on the turn and his long ball played in the substitute forward who caught Jeffrey off his line, neatly lobbing the ball over him.

However just minutes later, the 5 goal cushion was restored. A perfect cross field pass found King who finished well from 12 yards. King should of completed his double hat-trick on 84 minutes when a lovely cross from Franks was met by the head of King unmarked from 6 yards out however his header rattled the bar.

There was a final chance for Dugba in injury time however the Loughborough keeper saved well again before the referee signalled the end of the game to leave the Development side 10 wins from 10 in the league.
