A 2-1 away win over CFA on Saturday was enough to secure three points and a place at the top of the league for the senior development group. In blustery and sometimes wet conditions the young side worked hard for the result. Goals from Blayne Bennett on 30 minutes and Harrison Boot on 65 minutes were enough on the afternoon however the result should have been more convicing with Joe Marriott hitting the post from distance after only a few minutes had been played and efforts from Kai Jones being stopped by the CFA keeper in the second half, the one goal ended up being the difference between the two sides.

Tonight sees Tamwort FC visit the The Leicester Road Stadium for this weeks Under 18 Midweek Floodlit League fixture. This game will be another tough test for the group who will be looking to build on the 2-2 result in their last home outing against Racing Club Warwick. Gates open at 6.30pm for a 7.45 kick off this evening with the bar being open for drinks and snacks before, during and after the game.
