The midfielder rejoins Neil Lyne's squad having featured five times at the back end of last season, helping Hinckley on their way to the play-offs.

In those five appearances, Armstrong scored one goal for the club, the opener in a 2-2 home draw against Sporting Khalsa at the end of March.

Armstrong has featured in one of Stamford's opening two league games of the season, coming off the bench in a 2-0 home win against Hitchin Town on Tuesday night.

With his registration having been approved, he could feature for the Knitters as early as tomorrow, when Hinckley make the journey up to Heanor Town to face them in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
