The Access Road across Leicester Road Stadium

The Access Road across Leicester Road Stadium

Website Admin9 Feb 2016 - 10:18

3G Hinckley Limited simply do not want to pay any costs whilst making a profit .....

Joy Jelfs confirms on National Television that 3G Hinckley Limited purchased the 3G and surrounding land knowing it was landlocked and without any right of access across Leicester Road Stadium

The land in question was owned by Hinckley United Football Club Limited now in liquidation and was sold to 3G Hinckley Limited at auction in March 2015 as instructed by the lender with security over it. 3G Hinckley Limited purchased the pitches knowing full well that they were landlocked and with restricted parking.

3G Hinckley chose to hire out their asset to third parties knowing full well that they had no right of access across Leicester Road Stadium.

3G Hinckley were invited to propose commercial terms to gain unrestricted access but made a derisory offer which was rejected outright, nonetheless they (3G Hinckley) simply continued to grant their customers use of our private access road without authorisation and without any due care for our assets or the damage and mess they created.

During this period our assets were vandalised several times and this was reported to Police. As a result of this and the continued unauthorised use of our access road for commercial gain by 3G Hinckley, we installed fences and access gates to protect and safeguard our property.

Irrespective of the demised relationship with 3G Hinckley, Hinckley AFC Juniors were offered unrestricted weekend access to the pitches whilst negotiations with 3G Hinckley were on-going but instead rejected the offer, removed their goalposts and chose to relocate elsewhere. Again no commercial offer was made by 3G Hinckley Limited to use the access road.

Facebook posting from people associated to Hinckley AFC and 3G Hinckley stated clearly that their intentions were not to pay anything to use Leicester Road.

3G Hinckley attempted to force the issue by requesting Steve Atkins CEO of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council to broker a meeting on 16th December 2015 at the council offices but during the meeting although the leader of the council and the CEO encouraged 3G Hinckley to make an offer, they still chose not to offer any commercial terms to gain right of way up the access road and the meeting ended with the same stalemate.

The action is clearly with 3G Hinckley to come back to the table with suitable commercial terms.

At the time of writing, 3G Hinckley have not made any offer to use the access road and therefore any impact on Hinckley AFC Juniors or any other customer of 3G Hinckley needs to be resolved by 3G Hinckley Limited, their landlords.

"Leicester Road will continue to report the true and nothing but the truth."
