Where are they now?

Lets take a look at some of the players Neil Lyne has help along the way and some that he has brought to the club to help us on our way.

Amarvir Sandhu
Played in the clubs first ever game after graduating from the youth team. A left footed attacking player who was a constant threat to all defences. Became the club's first international when he captained The Punjab featuring in the World Cup Qualifying Rounds. Amarvir had brief stops at Shepshed and GNG and now plays for Coleshill Town.

Jordan Ponticelli
Another graduate from the youth team that featured in the first team at the age of 16. Jordan signed for Coventry City becoming the clubs first player to sign for a professional club making is debut on the 8th August 2017. Whilst at Coventry Jordan went out on loan to Tranmere, Macclesfield and then Wrexham who he joined on a permanent basis in 2020. Jordan returned for pre-season this season before signing for Kings Lynn.

Foday Nabay
Was signed by Fulham in the summer of 2013 from Birmingham's Academy and signed a scholarship deal with the club the following year. He was also a former England youth international before joining us. Foday moved on to Nuneaton Town, Gloucester City then Stratford Town and got back into the professional game in 2021 with Sheffield United.

Tom McGlinchey
Played in the clubs first ever game after graduating from the youth team and established himself as a fans favourite with his neat trickery and ball skills. Tom got a move to Coalville Town in 2018 and has been at the heart of all their successes ever since and is tipped to go higher.

Nathaniel Kelly
Joined the club in 2018 after starting his career at Birmingham City. Nat was an accomplished left sided defender who caught the eye of Nuneaton Town in the National League North. After Nuneaton Nat moved to Worcester City and now plies his trade with Halesowen Town.

Matty Stenson
Another graduate from the youth team that was out of the game for 2 seasons before Neil Lyne nursed him back to full fitness and reintroduced him into the clubs front line. Matty excelled in that season and moved onto Barwell then Leamington before National League Solihull Moors swooped in and paid a fee for his services making him the first ever player from the club to be involved in a transfer involving a fee. Matty honoured his contract with Solihull then joined Halifax before dropping down 2 levels to feature for Nuneaton Borough this season.

George Ward
Is another graduate from the youth team that found his way to Coventry City featuring in their youth team before accepting a place Loughborough University and featuring in their United Counties Premier Division North side last season before settling at Barwell after an early season trial at Weymouth was curtailed.

Danny Carey-Bartram
Was a high profile signing after a career in the National League taking in stops at Hereford, Forest Green Rovers, Bath City, Telford and Worcester City. Danny suffered a hamstring injury early on in his stay at the club but supported Neil Lyne alongside Marlon Walters another unsung club hero.

Matty Langham
Joined the Club in 2017 from Shepshed as a goalscoring centre forward and lead the line and scoring charts every season thereafter. Matty will always be remembered for his goals that saw the club go 21 games unbeaten in the United Counties League Premier Division South campaign which assisted us to gain promotion to the Northern Premier League last season. Matty now plies his trade at Aylestone Park.
