The first goal came at 13 minutes, from a superbly taken in-swinging corner by Dom Brennan. Ben Humphreys, taking no prisoners, commanded the back post to head Hinckley into a 1-0 lead. At the 20-minute mark, Brennan made his second assist of the match with a perfectly slotted pass, putting it on a dime for Andrew Wooldridge, who beat the keeper to put Hinckley two-up. Seventeen minutes into the second half, Jake Laban's long kick found its way through the opposition defence and fell into the path of Aaron Nuttall, who, with the deftest of touches, guided the ball over the keeper for goal number 3.
